This session will cover practical pearls for HS diagnosis, management, and introduction to basic HS procedures. The focus is for those in the early years of practice or who have only basic experience in caring for those wtih HS. The session is meant to be high yield, practical, and full of clinically useful information!

At the conclusion of the session, participants will be able to:

  • Diagnose mild, moderate, and severe HS (hidradenitis suppurativa) and differentiate from common mimickers;
  • Build a therapeutic alliance with patients with HS in order to provide supportive, whole person care;
  • Treat mild to moderate HS with non-biologics and biologic medications;
  • Idenitify and utililize basic procedures as part of HS care.
