Hyperhidrosis:  Impact, Diagnosis, and Evolving Treatments
Presented by Cynthia Trickett, PA-C
This fast-paced micro-learning session will equip Physician Associates with the tools to recognize, assess, and manage hyperhidrosis—an underdiagnosed condition with profound quality-of-life impact. Attendees will explore validated assessment scales, practical treatment algorithms, and both established and emerging therapies, leaving with strategies to personalize care and improve patient outcomes.

The Ringmaster: Taming Granuloma Annulare
Presented by Shannon Trotter, DO
This session focuses on granuloma annulare and its various clinical presentations and treatment strategies. Attendees will develop a better understanding of GA from diagnosis to management and why it's Dr. Trotters favorite dermatosis.

Basic Procedures for the New PA
Presented by Curtis Lamar Hardy, DO
Although the term 'basic procedures' may seem misleading, the techniques covered in this session are essential for both accurate diagnosis and effective treatment. A poorly executed diagnostic procedure can significantly impact clinical decision-making, potentially leading to inappropriate management. Similarly, suboptimal treatment techniques may create a false sense of resolution while increasing the risk of recurrence. This session will focus on reinforcing best practices and selecting the most appropriate techniques to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

At the conclusion of the session, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the clinical impact and classification of hyperhidrosis (primary versus secondary);
  • Utilize quality of life tools such as HDSS and DLQI in assessment;
  • Review traditional and emerging treatment options for hyperhidrosis;
  • Apply treatment algorithms to personalize care for hyperhidrosis patients.
  • Review the different clinical presentations and mimickers of granuloma annulare;
  • Discuss the pathophysiology behind granuloma annulare;
  • Provide an update for granuloma annulare treatment.
  • Understand the diagnostic and therapeutic roles of common dermatologic procedures and recognize how technique impacts clinical accuracy and patient outcomes;
  • Identify key factors that contribute to procedural success or failure, including technique selection, execution, and post-procedure care;
  • Apply evidence-based best practices to improve the quality and effectiveness of diagnostic and treatment procedures in clinical dermatology;
