Terry Arnold

Vice President Medical Affairs, Dermtech

Terry Arnold is the DermTech Vice President, Medical Affairs, leading the field team of Medical Science Liaisons and Area Medical Directors. He is a nationally-certified Physician Assistant who spent more than 20 years in the dermatology specialty and four vears in internal medicine practice. Terry has served in leadership positions on the local, state and national levels with professional organizations, non-profit agencies, and consumer advocacy groups. Prior to joining DermTech he held positions of increasing responsibility at a major biopharmaceutical company as a member of their Field Medical team and as a Scientific Director. His areas of interest include melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancer, inflammatory skin diseases, and dermatologic manifestations of internal disease. Terry is a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy, a veteran of Operation Desert Shield and Operation Iraqi Freedom, and has been awarded the Meritorious Service Medal and Air Force Commendation Medal.  

Courtney Barton

Chief Compliance & Privacy Officer, Arcutis Biotherapeutics, Inc.

Courtney R. Barton joined Arcutis Biotherapeutics, Inc. as Chief Compliance Officer, also serving as the company’s Chief Privacy Officer. Prior to joining the team at Arcutis, she served as VP, Commercial Excellence & Chief Compliance Officer at Cipla Therapeutics, a division of Cipla, USA. Ms. Barton has broad, global compliance and ethics expertise, having begun her compliance and ethics career at Winn-Dixie Stores, Incorporated before transitioning to roles in the pharmaceutical and medical device sector with Bausch + Lomb, Allergan, KYTHERA, Anacor and MannKind Corporation. She has also held positions with Merrill Lynch and Janus, including an appointment overseas. A graduate of Syracuse University, Ms. Barton holds Bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and International Relations, both magna cum laude, and is a Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP) and Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP US/E).

Hope Cook, PA-C

Georgia Skin Cancer & Aesthetic Dermatology

Hope Cook is a derm PA in a private practice in Athens, GA where she lives with her husband and two kids. She graduated from Emory University's PA program in 2002 and has practiced in dermatology since 2007. Hope is a member of SDPA’s Dermcast where she interviews experts in dermatology. She also has her own podcast called Recharting Your Life with Hope where she helps women in the throes of career uncertainty and burnout navigate their way out of stuckness. Hope has survived several bouts of career burnout which prompted her to become a life coach. She now practices in dermatology two days a week and spends the rest of her time writing, podcasting, and life coaching.

Linda Garcia

SVP, NP/PA Relations, POCN Group

Linda Garcia is currently the Senior Vice President of NP/PA Relations and Marketing with Point of Care Network (also known as POCN). POCN is a PA/NP advocacy and education organization solely dedicated to supporting the NP/PA community. In her current role, Linda oversees the recruitment of NPs and PAs as faculty, advisors and consultants for peer-educational educational programs as well as for industry-sponsored programs. Prior to POCN, Linda spent over 20 years in pharmaceutical product commercialization roles, and was the US Product Director of Allergan’s Juvéderm product line of dermal fillers. Throughout her career, Linda has contracted and engaged with healthcare professionals who are open to working with the pharma industry. She believes in the importance in highlighting the impact PAs and NPs have in healthcare and is happy to share her ‘insider’s expertise’ with the PA/NP community to ensure that they have their voices heard by pharmaceutical manufacturers.

Cynthia Griffith is a Dermatology Physician Assistant at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. Cynthia is the Editor in chief for the Journal of Dermatology Physician Assistants and is a guest lecturer in the UT Southwestern PA program and a lecturer at local, regional and national conferences. When not practicing, Cynthia is a national champion sailor and marathoner.

Jane Mast is a dermatology medical director at Novartis. She has practiced as a Dermatology PA for 20 years and still enjoys seeing patients. She has built her professional career around the needs of patients and addressing medical education needs in the field of Dermatology. Jane is a past president of the Society of Dermatology PAs. She is also a past trustee at large for the Dermatology PA Foundation as well as board of director for the SDPA. She has a bachelors degree in Biochemistry from Miami University, a masters degree in PA studies from the University of Florida, a Doctorate of medical science from the University of Lynchburg and a PhD in public health. She also holds a post graduate certificate from the Wharton School of Business in Business Analytics and a certificate in immunology from Harvard Medical School. She has published numerous articles and is excited about the impact she has on transforming the standard of care for patients with complex dermatological diseases. She lives on the space coast of Florida with her husband and two children and enjoys hurricane tracking and photography in her spare time.

Peter Young, MPAS, PA-C

Permanente Medical Group

Peter practices medical and surgical dermatology in Northern California, at Kaiser Permanente and Stanford University. His research has appeared in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, JAMA Dermatology, Journal of Dermatology for PAs, The Dermatologist, and elsewhere. Peter was named SDPA’s Derm PA of the Year in 2022, for contributions to the dermatologic literature and mentorship of fellow clinicians in the art of medical writing.
