The focus of this lecture is to educate the audience on the principles, techniques, and benefits of this cosmetic procedure in dermatology. The lecture would cover the key points of types of chemical peels, skin conditions and concerns, patient assessment and consultation, chemical peel techniques, and safety and side effects.

Kachiu Lee, MD, MPH

Dr. Kachiu Cecilia Lee, MD MPH is a board-certified dermatologist in private practice in the Philadelphia area. Dr. Lee is the author of over 120 peer-reviewed, PubMed-indexed manuscripts in journals. She is an internationally recognized speaker in chemical peels, lasers, and botulinum and filler injections. Since 2016, her basic science and clinical research into chemical peel formulations have resulted in safer treatment options, especially for people of color. She also serves as the principal investigator for several clinical trials investigating the use of ground-breaking laser technologies, fillers, and chemical peels. Because of her recognized expertise, she has served as an expert speaker for the FDA/Center for Devices and Radiological Health and has been a featured speaker on Sirius Radio XM.

Dr. Lee received medical degree from Northwestern University. She completed her dermatology residency at Brown University, where she served as Chief Resident. After residency, she completed a cosmetics fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. She currently serves on faculty at Temple University.
