Recorded On: 06/08/2024
Jennifer Hsiao, MD
Patients with Hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) often experience delays in diagnosis and appropriate treatments. In recent years, there has been a tremendous push in the field of dermatology to advance HS research, and although HS is still difficult to treat, there are new and more effective treatment options available for these patients. This talk aims to expand the practicing clinician's treatment armamentarium for patients with recalcitrant HS.
At the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Recognize diagnostic criteria for hidradenitis suppurativa
- Develop appropriate multimodal treatment plans for patients with HS
- Use strategies to optimize clinic visits with patients with HS
- Describe new and emerging medical and surgical treatment strategies for HS
