Dr. Glick will review the technology and science behind SRT and will provide cases detailing the selection process for appropriate candidates for the use of SRT in the management of non-melanoma skin cancer. Dr. Markowitz uses non-invasive lasers such as optical coherence tomography, for which she has led the research in America. She combines this with nonablative lasers to remove most skin cancers without cutting. Dr. Markowitz’s treatments always result in scar-free outcomes in which patients go home without a Band-Aid the same day. Across the globe dermatologists are changing the way they perform skin biopsies and cancer surgery. Cutting skin cancer in more private areas is not the future. This lecture will focus on opportunities to change for the better by utilizing a non-cutting approach.
