This module offers a detailed exploration of neoplasms, focusing on benign and malignant skin lesions. It will explore the clinical characteristics, diagnostic techniques, and management strategies for various skin neoplasms, including melanoma and nonmelanoma skin cancers.

Section 1: Benign Melanocytic Lesions and Melanoma
- Describe characteristics of benign melanocytic lesions and nevi, clinically and with dermoscopy.
- Describe risk factors and pathophysiology of benign melanocytic lesions and nevi.
- Describe appropriate diagnostic modalities for melanocytic lesions.
- Describe characteristics of malignant melanocytic lesions and nevi, clinically and with dermoscopy.
- Summarize the AJCC 8 staging guidelines of cutaneous melanoma.
- Recommend appropriate treatment or management procedures for cutaneous melanoma.
Section 2: Other Benign Neoplasms
- Identify various types of benign tumors and proliferations.
- Identify the different types of cysts.
- Describe the characteristics of true cysts.
- Describe the characteristics of false cysts.
- Define adnexal neoplasms.
- Understand classifications of vascular neoplasms and reactive proliferations.

Section 3: Actinic Keratosis, Squamous Cell Carcinoma, and Basal Cell Carcinoma
- Understand the keratinocyte carcinomas known as nonmelanoma neoplasms of the skin including actinic keratosis, basal cell carcinoma, and squamous cell carcinoma along with subtypes.
- Understand the risk factors and common locations of nonmelanoma skin cancers (NMSC), and the importance of thorough examination and past medical history.
- Understand the staging and characteristics of high-risk NMSC.
- Understand the treatment options of NMSC including topical, surgical, radiation and referrals.
Section 4: Other Malignant Neoplasms
- Identify clinical presentations of cutaneous T-cell lymphoma and discuss work up classification and treatment.
- Identify clinical presentations of B-cell lymphomas of the skin and discuss work up, classification, and treatment.
- Identify cutaneous findings of metastatic disease.
