This module focuses on both hypopigmentation and hyperpigmentation. The module covers multiple diseases and conditions in each category, how to identify and diagnose them, and finally, how to treat them in conjunction with adequate patient care. The module explores co-existing conditions of many of these disorders and will help to discern the difference in many similar conditions visually.

After participating in this module, the learner will be able to:
Section 1: Vitiligo and Other Disorders of Hypopigmentation
- Identify and treat various forms of vitiligo.
- Recognize various forms of hereditary hypomelanosis.
- Identify and treat infectious and parasitic causes of hypomelanosis.
- Recognize other miscellaneous causes of hypomelanosis.
Section 2: Disorders of Hyperpigmentation
- Identify and treat melasma.
- Identify common drugs and chemicals associated with hyperpigmentation.
- Identify and treat postinflammatory hyperpigmentation.
- Differentiate the appearances and causes of diffuse, linear, and reticulated hyperpigmentation disorders.
- Differentiate the causes of dyschromatoses.
