This module explores various disorders of subcutaneous fat, many of which are uncommon in general dermatology practice. Although these conditions are rarely encountered outside of specialized clinics, understanding them is essential for accurate diagnosis and treatment when they do present. The primary focus will be on identifying the common types of panniculitides, their etiologies, and their signs and symptoms. Additionally, the module will cover uncommon panniculitides and introduce lipodystrophy syndromes, including their localized forms.
