
Pearls and Pitfalls for Diagnosing Cutaneous Lymphoma (Diagnostic Approach and Treatment)

At the end of the session, participants will:
- •Recognize classic clinical manifestations of cutaneous T-cell lymphomas
- •Enumerate first and second-line treatments of mycosis fungoides
- •Distinguish between patch- and plaque-stage disease
- •Enumerate the disease states and clinical features to distinguish between CD30+ lymphoproliferative disorders
- •Recognize clinical presentations associated with worse outcomes and features associated with patients likely to experience disease progression

Heather Goff, MD, MPH
Heather W. Goff, M.D., M.P.H., is an Associate Professor of Dermatology at UT Southwestern Medical Center where she directs a specialty clinic in treatment of cutaneous lymphomas as well as serves as the director for cosmetic dermatology education for the residency program.
She earned her medical degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha honor medical society and also completed an internship in internal medicine and a residency in dermatology.
She holds a Master of Public Health (International Health) from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, as well as a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Studio Art) from Texas Tech University.
She joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2014 and her professional honors include the Department of Dermatology’s 2015 Outstanding Teacher Award and the American Academy of Dermatology’s Presidential Citation for Basic Dermatology Curriculum in both 2013 and 2017.
