Recorded On: 10/26/2023

Allergic contact dermatitis is the #6 most common diagnosis in the dermatology clinic. However, it is often missed due to lack of patch testing and low index of suspicion. This session will showcase unique cases of allergic contact dermatitis organized regionally and discuss mimickers that can appear similar.

At the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Recognize most common contact allergens that can affect different body regions.
  • List mimickers of contact dermatitis in different body regions.
  • Describe the patch testing procedure in adults and children.
  • Understand the pathophysiology of allergic contact dermatitis.
