Learning Objectives:
Participants will:
1. Discuss pathophysiology of urticaria, recognizing differentiation between autoallergic and autoimmune subtypes.
2. Identify diagnostic strategies to classify urticarial subtypes, with focus on chronic spontaneous urticaria (CSU).
3. Discuss stepwise management approach to urticaria with first-line, advanced, and emerging therapeutic agents.
4. Discuss disease burden and quality of life considerations in patients with urticaria.

Jennifer Conner grew up in Indiana and received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Marian University in Indianapolis in 2003. Following her undergraduate education, she attended the U.S. Army Interservice Physician Assistant Program at Fort Sam Houston and earned a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies in 2005. She served in the U.S. Army National Guard for 11 years as a medic, Medical Specialist Corps officer, and battalion physician assistant. Jennifer began her career as a PA in dermatology in 2006 and practices in Indianapolis at Dawes Fretzin Dermatology, where she also serves as a sub-investigator in clinical research trials. Jennifer is a past president of the SDPA, was a founding trustee of the Dermatology PA Foundation, is a founding advisory board member for the Elevate-Derm Alliance and manages the Skin Sync podcast. She is a mom of 3 and avid marathoner outside of clinic.
