SDPA Webinar: DermPA's Guide to Surgery

This webinar reviews surgical techniques to address malignant and benign lesions. Instructional videos provided by Peter Young, MPAS, PA-C are included which demonstrate various excisions and defect repairs, as well as discussion of management of malignant lesions.

At the conclusion of this webinar participants will be able to get a better understanding of;

• Standards of care for appropriate lesion removal with margins: BCC, SCC, MM, dysplastic nevi
• Identifying when to refer to Mohs or for WLE with SLNB for MM
• Suture types and their characteristics
• Various excision techniques
• The definition between intermediate vs complex repair
• Pearls for achieving optimal would approximation, as well as post-op wound care, dressing, and scar prevention.

Speaker Bio
James J. Worry, DHSc, MPAS, PA-C is a board-certified PA in the exclusive practice of dermatology for more than a decade. A Fellow of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, Worry holds a Doctorate of Health Science from NOVA Southeastern University and a Masters of Physician Assistant Science from St. Francis University.

Since 2011, Worry has focused his practice on general and surgical dermatology. Outside of the clinic, he serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Pittsburgh, School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences and as President of the Pennsylvania Dermatology PA Society. Additionally, Worry is nationally recognized for his dermatology expertise, serving as a clinical consultant, author, and accomplished speaker.
