The past two decades have produced an explosion of new immunotherapies for cutaneous diseases. In this lecture we will discuss the next wave of new treatments being developed. Of particular emphasis will be a discussion of why these newer treatments may be advantageous for our patients and potential pitfalls of new therapies.

At the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  1. Consider how new understanding of inflammatory diseases can lead to new treatment approaches
  2. Identify new potential pathways and upcoming treatments for inflammatory skin diseases
  3. Recognize potential benefits and risks as we move to newer treatments.
