Have you wondered what nutrition advice you should give when your patients ask? Do you feel comfortable giving nutrition advice?
In this session, you will learn answers to some common questions related to diet and skin disease (does keto help with psoriasis? can diet affect acne?) by reviewing the current literature on the topic with a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and PA-C. You will also learn how to give nutrition advice in a way that doesn't promote fad dieting or restrictive eating practices.
At the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:
- Understand the history of nutrition as as science and why diet studies are difficult to conduct.
- Discuss of common diet trends (keto, intermittent fasting, anti-inflammatory diet )
- Define a Western Diet v. Mediterranean diet pattern.
- Review literature/recs on diet and Psoriasis, diet and acne/eczema, and diet and Hidradenitis
