While skin clearance is always a goal, there are many other aspects of patient care that occur in the dermatology clinic. We'll discuss diet, exercise, and sleep strategies to bring a holistic approach to wellness for our patients. It's important to care for caregivers, so we'll also discuss our own wellness and strategies to find meaning and fulfillment in the practice of dermatology.

Steven Daveluy, MD

Wayne State University
Dr. Steve Daveluy is an associate professor and program director at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. He earned his bachelor's degree in Zoology from Michigan State University, then attended medical school and completed his dermatology residency at Wayne State University.
He holds special interests in teledermatology, noninvasive skin imaging, skin of color, integrative dermatology, and complex medical dermatology, including hidradenitis suppurativa. He chairs the AAD Performance Measure Committee. He is the past president of the Wayne County Medical Society. He serves on the editorial board for the JAAD and is building a growing body of publications of his own. He lives across the border in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, with his husband and very spoiled dog.
