Participants will:
- After participating in this webinar, attendees should be able to understand key immunological cells involved in common derm conditions.
- After participating in this webinar, attendees should be able to understand key cytokines involved in common derm conditions.
- After participating in this webinar, attendees should be able to group common derm conditions together according to the predominant cell type (Th1-, Th2- Tc- mediated) involved in the immunopathology.
- After participating in this webinar, attendees should be able to understand genetic and environmental factors that instigate or influence pathology, and/or predispose patients to common derm conditions, where appropriate.

Allison has won teaching awards in both academia and industry that reflect her passion for making immunology accessible, understandable, consumable, and relevant. Her style is casual, light hearted and approachable, making interacting with her inviting, whether from the podium or in the hallway. When she's not teaching immunology, Allison's day job is as a principle MSL at a large pharmaceutical company, but she will never outgrow her roots as an academic researcher/educator. Outside of work, Allison enjoys live music and mahjong. She lives in Dallas, TX with her husband, daughters, and dogs.

Dr. Amy McMichael, M.D., MPH is a Professor of Dermatology at Wake Forest School of Medicine and a nationally recognized expert in hair and scalp disorders, psoriasis, and skin of color. A Philadelphia native, she earned her medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania and completed her dermatology residency at the University of Michigan. Dr. McMichael previously served as Chair of Dermatology at Wake Forest for over a decade and has held leadership roles in major organizations, including the Skin of Color Society and the American Academy of Dermatology. She is a widely published author and mentor, known for her contributions to clinical care, research, and education.

- Learn the histologic features of commonly encountered inflammatory conditions including lichen planus, psoriasis, eczematous dermatitis, drug eruptions, and dermal hypersensitivity reactions.
- Apply the framework for classification and histologic features to enhance your practice through best site selection and method of procurement for sampling.
- Gain confidence in when to perform additional sampling for direct immunofluorescence studies.
- Review alternate classification schemes to add in your differential diagnosis of inflammatory conditions.

Tiffany Mayo, MD
Associate Professor of Dermatology
Tiffany Taylor Mayo, M.D. is a board-certified dermatologist and Associate Professor of Dermatology at The University of Alabama at Birmingham.
She received an undergraduate and master's degree in Chemistry at Tuskegee University. Dr. Mayo completed her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, TX and an internship in Internal Medicine from McGaw Northwester Medical Center, Chicago, IL. She completed Dermatology training at The University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Her interests include skin of color, hair and scalp disorders, hidradenitis suppurativa, and clinical trials. She leads the Ethnic Skin and Hair Clinic and is Director of the Dermatology Clinical Research Unit.
In addition to her clinical duties, Dr. Mayo mentors students interested in medicine and dermatology, serves on several committees related to medical student education, and is actively involved in the Skin of Color Society and the community.
When she is not working, Dr. Mayo enjoys spending time with her three children and husband.

Her passion for reducing healthcare disparities led her to pursue a PhD program focusing on understanding and addressing melanoma skin cancer disparities, reflecting her dedication to improving healthcare access and outcomes for all populations.
In addition to her clinical endeavors, Elenitsa is deeply invested in education. Joining the faculty at UC Davis in April 2021, she has been instrumental in teaching future healthcare professionals in the Physician Assistant program. Elenitsa finds balance outside her professional life by sharing cherished moments skiing with her kids and partner during winter and exploring the breathtaking landscapes of Northern California through hiking during the summer.
